End the Pursuit! Let’s Get Happy and Blissful now!

All my life, I have had only one goal, to feel happy all the time. I never really struggled to stay happy but I had set a tough standard for myself, which was that I wouldn’t tolerate unhappiness and dissatisfaction lasting even for an hour.

I was fortunately aware that material wealth or attainment of any set goal or fulfillment of any desire was not the road to lasting happiness that I desired. I knew like most of the people know theoretically, that lasting happiness would come only when you look for it in a place where only you can see, within your own self. But the inward journey is definitely not an easy one, it may be a simple one if we accept the ideas of the yogis who have made it across but it’s not easy.

The path to happiness is simple as the yogis usually recommend, “perform regular yoga, an hour or two of meditation and you have a great beginning of the inward journey.” It’s definitely a great advice and as I was very keen on attaining my goal of lasting happiness, I gave it a sincere try but sooner or later some of the other aspects of life always caught up and I could go beyond 5min of meditation and 20 min. of regular yoga. I have been a sailor for many years; this job requires us to give quite a number of work hours and little rest hence I had to find another way.

I studied various research paper, books etc until I realized that in the exact same circumstances, even the same person felt differently in different time. For the same stimuli, same people reacted differently in same circumstances. Hence it was not what was happening, it was how everyone felt about what was happening around them. Hence the game was happening within them, it was always their feelings coming from within them, controlling the outcome of any event.

If a person has his limbs intact, a whole body, heart pumping blood, lungs doing their job, there is no massive physical pain, all the loved ones are healthy on an average scale and they all have food in their stomach, then If still, someone is not feeling great then issue was not with the circumstance but with their focus. If the above requirements are fulfilled in your case, then you are in the top 5% of the most fortunate people in the world.

I had to find a way to remember this all the time, as I am the fortunate one, that is what I know was the key to lasting happiness. You always find what you look for, I found my path to stay happy most of my life, I found the best strategies and applied them on myself, and I became one of the happiest men alive. This was when I decided to write, so here I share the strategies for anyone who is looking.

Few things you got to remember to stay happy are:-

  • You feel and get what you focus on!
  • A person in a state of gratitude can never be sad!
  • A person in a powerful motion can never experience disempowering emotion!
  • Every emotion that you experience is an unconscious habit, and thus feeling of happiness is also a habit!
  • The emotion that you feel the majority of your time is a habit you have acquired by a consistent practice over years.
  • If you feel that an improvement in the circumstance is what would make you happy then remember that being happy is actually the thing which would improve your circumstances faster.

I started following a few powerful techniques, which I believe would bring a positive change in the life of anyone who uses it within 2 minutes from the time he starts. Happiness simply is a game of focus, you focus on what you like, only the things, people or event which make you feel powerful and empowered. Happiness is about training your mind to look for good positive things in every situation. Now when you know the desired outcome, it’s time for you to understand the tricks to make that happen in the easiest possible way. Following are the powers that you got to utilize to get the desired outcome:

The power of spoken words

Every word that you speak out, to your own self or others directly affects the way you feel, a word can make or break dreams. The words you speak have power beyond measure, understand that the words you choose are not just intangible waves of sound energy created by the voice box, they are clear commands to the brain to act in a certain way, and our brain doesn’t differentiate between true or false. You would get the results as you command.

The first thing you got to do to improve the quality of your emotions is to choose quality words.

Only use the words which give you hope and a sense of power, even if they seem absurd or false. You speak the word that you desire; your brain starts to work on it, making you feel great.

Imagine being in your eighties and speaking words like, “I CAN EASILY CLIMB THE EVEREST!” Even if in reality you may not feel it’s true, your body would still feel strong enough for toughest of circumstances.

Give your day a great beginning and an end

When you wake up in the morning, try to relax for a couple of minutes by breathing as slowing as possible and at the same time, asking yourself the following questions:

  • What am I happy about?
  • What am I excited about?
  • What am I grateful for?
  • Who loves me and who do I love?
  • What am I committed to?

Every time you really ponder over these questions, your mind starts looking for good things, even if you feel that such things do not exist in your life right now, your mind would find them and show them to you. Sincerely ask yourself these questions, with an expectation to receive answers! If you somehow are in a state where you do not have even two minutes to relax then do it while carrying out your daily rituals like sitting on a pot, brushing your teeth etc. Repeat these two-minute questions before you go to sleep; if you feel too tired to sit, ask yourself these while you are lying on the bed waiting for the sleep to completely take over.

The times before your sleep and after you wake up are scientifically considered to be very vital, your subconscious mind is wide awake while you are asleep, and the last idea that passes through your mind before you sleep would get 1000 times more powerful giving you corresponding results. And the initial thoughts that you have after waking also pass through your subconscious mind with ease thus giving a lasting effect throughout your waking hours. Gifting this two minutes gift to yourself would drastically improve the quality of your focus, thoughts and thus your life instantly!

Throughout your average day, if you are feeling blissful, which basically means happy, excited or just normal then you are doing fine but if you notice yourself being worried for any reason then take a note of the words you have been using, immediately use powerful words with strong belief in your capability to handle anything that could be thrown upon you. Once you have changed your words, then it’s time to change your focus. No matter what kind of shit you find yourself in, there is one power that has all the answers!

The power of RIGHT QUESTIONS

Ask for what you wish for! And you shall receive it! There is absolutely no matter which cannot be resolved by the right questions. And if your worries are linked to event from the past which cannot be changed or from the future, which cannot be predicted then simply, change your focus by asking yourself the six morning question! Your focus would change and you would get resourceful, ensuring that you would be able to deal with every challenge thrown at you with grace.

The right question would always fetch you what you need. Any challenge that you might be facing in your life can be resolved with ease if you just ask for the solution from your mind. Most of the people are busy asking the wrong question thus feeling powerless at times; questions, as mentioned below, would always fetch you answers with absolutely no solution and they would further make you feel unhappy and/or powerless:

  • Why doesn’t my kid listen to me?
  • Why don’t people like me?
  • Why can’t I lose weight?
  • Why can’t I get the promotion?

Right questions in the same question which would fetch you great answers would be like:

  • What can I do to ensure that my kid listens to me?
  • Why do people like me? What can I do to increase such likable qualities?
  • What should I do to lose weight and get my desired body?
  • How can I become an indispensable part of my company? What can I do so I become a great asset to the company?

You find answers to exactly the questions you have been asking, it was never the lack of resources or potential that was a hurdle in your progress, it was your misdirected focus. Remember, where your focus goes, your life flows. Think, speak and ask for exactly the things that wish to have in your life and you would become the master of your destiny!

Control your physiology

As you probably know by now that changing the posture of the body greatly affect your mind thus, don’t miss on using this power. If you are ever feeling low, then along with the above mention exercise of right question, put yourself in a powerful posture like Y(Spreading your arms and standing tall by lifting your head high); this posture is capable of raising the testosterone level of all humans, male and female by 25% and reducing the cortisol (the stress hormone) in mere 2 Minutes. So if before an important event; you feel overwhelmed, nervous or have any other limiting feeling, then get limitless using the power of powerful physiology. Above posture is just an example of what’s possible, you can feel invincible if you just try other postures, all you got to ensure is that you use as much space as possible and use as much of your body as possible. Thus Powerful emotions are raised by powerful motions!

MONITOR THE EFFECT OF FOOD ON YOUR BODY

There have been years of studies and talks about a so-called balanced diet or perfect diet for all human beings. And surprisingly every great study completely contradicted the old one. After every decade, scientists come out and say that the last balanced diet plan was not the right one, now they have found one which would work.

I never believed in one perfect balanced diet for all and luckily I have finally found some wise people seem to say what I had always believed in, which was, ‘we all are unique, our needs are different, our thoughts are different and thus the nourishment meant for our body would be as per the body specific need!’ For that you do not need a dietician, all you got to do is to listen to your body. Your body speaks every time you eat food, it tells you whether what you ate was right for it or not. I wouldn’t give you a specific food but if the consumed food doesn’t seem to disappear from your system in maximum 2.5 Hrs then it clearly indicates that digestive system is working overtime.

It is surprising to see advertisements where people first eat acidic food and then take a liquid or a pill to counteract its effect. If you are regularly feeling discomfort, then it’s time to change your diet, experiment with the advice of all the health experts to find out the best for you because good nourishing food makes you happy and dead processed food fudges up you biochemistry making you feel low.

Also, there are some natural foods with natural happy hormones called serotonin in them like banana, walnut, cheese, milk etc which can give your happiness level a boast. Thus Diet is a body-specific requirement and not a general requirement.

DISCIPLINE TO STAY BLISSFUL

The opposite of happiness is unhappiness, opposite of courage is fear, opposite of love is hate but bliss is a word that does not have an opposite! Bliss is simply a feeling when you are cool with everything that is happening and that might happen in future; it’s simple acceptance of life as it is. Bliss is having the knowledge that life gives you everything! Good or bad are mere labels that we have been conditioned to set for various events. This acceptance is not an easily acquired virtue but a little discipline would go a long way in improving the quality of your life. Finally I hope that you remember that you are in the top 5% of the most fortunate people in the world, I hope that you count your blessing every day, I hope you find million of reason for happiness, I hope you find something excited that you get committed to, I wish you all the happiness because trust me when I say this, happiness is the not the end result of a great journey; It is merely a beginning of a great life!!!
