Brotherhood of the Human System

As we evolved, we gained a deeper understanding of the universe; we are now getting more and more scientific evidence for the things that had been believed philosophically, spiritually etc for centuries. One such belief was that at some level we are all highly connected, even an insignificant action that an individual takes today would affect the cosmos in a great manner, every feeling and thought that any person has would affect not only the particular individual but also everyone else.

We have been taught to understand things separately; even the working of our body was taught to us by dividing it into various systems like digestive, respiratory etc; giving us a perception of disconnection. If you understand your body then you would know that just by changing your breathing pattern, not only your respiratory system gets affected but every other system feels it too. The mind has been held responsible for all the worries since ages for which every cell of your body is equally responsible. We have always been made to believe that mind is a terrible master, so let’s blame this scumbag for all our sufferings….. That has been one way, and other was calling it the best slave! Meditation would the mind your personal slave, and then it’s the best servant.

But I believe that mind is neither a master nor a slave, it’s just a great team player following the team strategy without judgment. In truth, the mind is the not the only one triggering your thoughts or feelings, it is just playing its part in the play that your whole body has written. In my present state of ignorance, I can tell you with surety that reduction in stress level and drastic improvement in the quality of thoughts can be easily brought by:-

  • The kind of food you eat!
  • The way you breathe!
  • Quality and quantity of water that you drink and;
  • How you use your physical body or control your physiology.

Imagine passing by your favorite junk food restaurant, you see those crispy pictures. You are consciously aware that it is not healthy but something in you magically brings that same junk shit on your table, even before you had thought about the pros and cons of this decision, you are munching on it. If you have ever wondered why that feeling comes when seeing such junk then you would get a detailed answer for that in my future blogs. For now, you are eating a high calorie, nutrient deficient, highly acidic, dead food; but your mind says, ‘WOW what a feeling, what a taste!’ You finish your meal feeling satisfied, having great thoughts when digestive system complains out loud, “What the hell! Again this shit! What am I supposed to do with this, Huh? I always work overtime and kind of nourishment I get is shit! How do you expect me to fulfill the needs of 1000 trillion cells?”

With all this moaning and cursing, the digestive system uses extra acid, extra enzymes in order to break the difficult food, supplies the body with a poor quality of energy changing the biochemistry in a manner that you start feeling low, which affects the physiology and breathing pattern and ultimately the psychology.

When you perform pranayama from the yogic techniques or some modern breathing exercises which is basically a fine alternation in your breathing pattern, your whole body senses it and immediately adapts to this conscious process.

If you ever feel low or nervous due to any situation, find a quiet spot and just raise your arms and stand like this Y alphabet for two minutes, this is the winning posture of all human being used from really early days. This posture works like magic, this simple posture signals the brain that it’s time to feel great and brain instantly raises testosterone level(even in females) and reduces the cortisol (the stress hormone) level making you feel much better in two minutes. This would be the simplest process for you experience the connection.

So, in conclusion, your whole body is a combination of systems working as a team to produce what it is designed for, the source of your thoughts and feeling is not your mind alone, it’s the result of a joint effort of the way you breathe, the way you move and quality of food that you feed your mind and body. This team is the best performing team you could have ever received. None of the members ever work against each other, their brotherhood or the sisterhood is beyond comparison. If you consciously affect even one system, rest of them follow without any questions or challenge. I would end this blog with an idea that any progress you wish to make in your life would be easy and highly effective if it’s a unified process of all these forces.
